The doors, decklid, frontend and windows are all
oversized. Once the body is mounted everything
has to be ground to size, the doors were about
5/8" to big all the way around. The white line
around the door in the top photo is 3/4' masking
tape around the actual door opening. You can see
how much it overlaps and how much it varies. I
have to set all the gaps on everything. The bottom
photo shows how everything starts, they are fitted
just enough to get the hinges set, then final
adjustments are made to line up the bodylines.
The frontend is stretched for 109" wheelbase, this
car is 105" meaning 4 inches has to be removed
from the back edge.
