It's been a few days since the last
update, (Once again showing my
great mental capacity by leaving
the camera at work). Most of the
chassis is now complete.
Some of it is removable (the "X" in
the doors, rear motor plate bar and
a few others) so we can climb in
and out easier. This is when things
seem to slow down as we are now
"hangin tabs". Mounting stuff takes
longer than building stuff.

Take a look at the second pic, that
little tab has to be bent, a nut
welded to the bottom and the
threads cleaned before it can be
welded in place.
Each task adds a few minutes to the
job. Now start thinking about just
how many different tabs and
brackets have to be fabricated and
mounted.

From the front squirrel cage that
mounts and supports the entire
front end, to the parachute pack in
back, rack mounts, strut mounts,
control arm mounts, pedal mounts,
tranny mount, I could go on and on,
but there are so many that we can't
remember all of them. (We have a
checklist that covers two pages.)
Each of which has its own
particular wants and needs.
We tend get a little grouchy about
now.

(Long winded tonight aren't I)
