The door caps are a tight fit and seal up very well. The A post runs directly into the door cap and the cowl is attached to both. Its all 22 gauge very light and extremely strong.

To help gain some strength I added a wire edge along the rear where it touches the door and window. It starts at the top of the A post and will continue to the rocker cap under the door. The rounded edge is also very easy on the hands!

The wire edge is wrapped around a piece of .032 welding rod and is just over 1/4" wide.
