The altered body has always been my
favorite,
it looks better and its much lighter,
but it has to come off to adjust the clutch.

That isn't a problem, getting the damn thing
back on is!

The Vette body, however,  stays on and
pivots skyward outa the way.
When we got this body it
was set up for a small
tire so we had to open up
the wheel openings to fit
the larger tire. (Its the
ucky brown area.)

Since it needed paint
work anyway we may as
well make it easier to get
to the clutch.
I split the cowl at the tape line, and it is
removable without pulling the body. In
less than a minute we are on the clutch!

There is a lot of bodywork to be done and
no time to do it, so by 2/3rd majority (Ron
and I) decided to tape off the flames and
rattle can it flat black.
The opening in body doesn't look all that big,
but we have plenty of room to get in there
and thrash if needed.
Shaun is on the fence about the looks.
I think this sumbitch is as cool as it gets!

Its a 15 footer, maybe 10, but it looks fantastic
from the stands.

The flat black really brings the flames to life.
It is also easy to touch up so the body work can be
finished in small doses.

The reason I call this beast my hobby is simple,
I've done just about everything on it BUT the
tinwork!

This is my hobby. The car is owned by Ron
and Shaun Evans, Lovington Il. I'm the crew.
These guys are my boys!

We run in the NPCA 6.50 class with this car
as an altered.

We match race the same car as an alcohol
funny car using a Corvette body. Ron wears a
pair of shorts that match the nose, its not a
pretty site!
