The chassis is similar to our Pro-Stock/Top-Sportsman, but is a lot more heavy duty. Lots more bracing, bigger tubing in some spots, Chris has spent quite a bit of time figuring out how to keep weight down while making it stronger. The goal is to be within 20 pounds of the Pro-Stock chassis, even with the addition of all the bracing and double framerail.

Do you want to know why welders cuss a lot? Above you can see some the triangulation in the rear of the car. When there are a lot of tubes running to one spot its a bitch to get the torch in close enough to weld it, below is a close up of one of those spots. I'm patting myself on the back right now,, as I was the one stupid, errr, skilled enough to weld this one up.

I'm picking up this project a little late in the chassis process, I've been busy cutting up a cherry 67 Camaro, 45,000 original miles, no rust... Ha ha. I would like to say I enjoyed it, but the job was a pain in the ass. More on that later.
