Since this car will be run without a weight limit we are
going to the extreme to get it as light as possible. The
battery tray has been built out of thinner material, and has
been punched to lighten it and swedged to maintain the
strength. Below is yours truly dis-respecting the fiberglass
with a sawz-all. When ya start to fit the doors and deck lid
there is some stuff that has to be removed. At this point
things can be removed in a very crude manner, and its fun
too. The closer ya get to the final cut, the more careful ya
gots ta be.
I mentioned in the Cobalt pages
that this crap doesn't fit together.
This pic shows how much the
contour is off, it is almost 2" to long
at this point as well. I usually get
the contour right and then shorten
it to length off of the good edge.

Down below are pics of how the
roof line is mounted, these are
entirely different than the Cobalt
used, illustrating the fact that no
off the shelf tabs are correct. By
the time you take a tab and modify
it to work, ya can just build one
and save the tabs for other things.
This is a shot of the double framerail layout on our Pro/Mod
chassis. Look at how beefed up the motor plate area is.
Everything in this type car is more heavy duty than on a
Pro-Stock style chassis.
