Tire shake is murder on everything, in, on, and sometimes around the car, this includes the body and especially the doors. If they are allowed to start jumping up and down, the hinges, latches, strikers, and turnbuckles can break. Lots of bracing everywhere. I use factory Chevy door latches and strikers, the wedge shape keeps the door from shaking up and down during the pass.

It gets an added brace that is supported by tubing at both ends. The body will get bolted to the brace.

Here's something new we are trying,, Lokar billet door handles. The new Vette has no outer door handles, they are opened by a solenoid and a button, so we had to come up with something else. The easiest and best place for it is on the top of the door. These handles are actually for the interior, but with a little modification they work great on the outside. They look great too! The green line is a cut line to allow a two finger grip, but I'm not sure it needs it, These doors already work very well, although they are a long way from being finished.
